Dale Hollow Lake
(Night Walleyes)
Rate: 320.00 night
Located on the
Kentucky-Tennessee border, Dale Hollow is best known for big smallmouth bass,
and rightfully so. Still, Dale is one of the best walleye lakes south of Erie.
Extensive stocking efforts and unbelievable walleye habitat produce big walleyes
and lots of them. We fish exclusively at night during the summer months only,
preferably around the full moon periods.
The Walleyes at Dale Hollow run big, 10 pounds and more. Commonly, a limit will average 4 pounds.
Fishing is primarily vertical jigging with Hopkin's spoons and Silver Buddies, although live bait will be used on occasion. When Walleye fishing, we frequently encounter large Smallmouth Bass on the ledges and breaklines where we find the Walleyes. Detailed teaching is a vital part of this guided trip. Typically, this is deep water fishing. Some fish will be kept and filleted to take home. All equipment is provided. Spoons broken off will be replaced by the angler.
Trips are very limited and should be scheduled early. I start on the full moon in May.
